Painting for me is just a part of living. I don’t really try to do anything. I just do. Painting is my way to understand life and myself. It’s something that allows me to take a step out of this world and let’s me look at everything from above, floating in the clouds whilst looking down on my life.
Painting to me is experimenting with thoughts and ideas for everything in life. When I paint I see myself creating the painting from every angle of the room, thinking about past, present and future, listening to music, dancing and completely fading away to different worlds all at the same time. Catching myself in the middle of a painting sometimes as if I just woke up from a dream. It’s just a way of being human and exploring the inner side. To me it’s broad. I feel like for every painting I make, I discover more of myself, the life and this world.
It’s like my hand moves from energies around me, the clouds above me and I get to see a new artwork come to life. It’s as if I’m just bringing out what is already there without seeing it beforehand, yet knowing it at all times.
Every painting is another attempt to find out who I am, have been and will be.
Understanding this world, finding mysteries and solving them.
That’s what painting is. To me.
By sharing my work I hope you too can have an experience with yourself in these mirroring portals to unknown destinations.
