EXCURSIONIST was born out of refusal — a conscious decision to strip away color and confront the structure of my work without distraction. As my only large-scale painting executed entirely in black and white, it challenged my instinct to intensify and expand through chromatic force.
An excursion is both escape and exploration. This work moves beyond the familiar territory of my color-driven compositions while refining the foundation beneath them.
